Cupcakes served in place of wedding cakes have been all the rage for quite some time now. I've seen quite a handful of shops selling cupcake and cake toppers that are just too adorable for words. I have always wanted to make some of my own and finally got around to it.
Here a soft cream card stock, cut by hand in the shape of a flag, is personalized for a wedding. The base flag is cut from a double sided patterned paper which has a blue floral pattern on one side and a vintage-esk map of Central London on the other. I cut two pieces from this patterned paper, so that the base flag appears to have the map on both sides. Slide a toothpick through the slits and there you have it, a cutesy, cupcake topper!
Next is the same pattern as seen above, but using a solid yellow and green card stock. I love these toppers in particular, because it's fresh, bright and ready for a spring/summer celebration. The color of the font on the yellow flag is green and the green flag boasts a pretty yellow colored font.
Finally, this last cupcake topper is put together on a plum/violet polka dot patterned paper, the other side of it is a very pretty floral/butterfly design.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
